Empirical dependencies for calculation of heat emission coefficient are proposed, and also average resulting gas temperature, which meets requirements of heat transfer of the most heated piston area of high-powered marine diesel engines. Definition of regutarities allow to determine the maximum temperature by calculation, and to get the temperature distribution along the piston head at different operating conditions, taking into account some service and constructive factors during design and further boosting.
