Characteristics of energetic balance of the supercharging system for internal combustion engines

The index for evaluation of the adjustment degree for the engine supercharging system is shown, which is called the energetic balance characteristic for the supercharging system. The calculated definition of this index is given in dependence on the supercharging rate; calculation results are compared with fhe experiment results. Recommendations are offered to provide the energetic balance of the 2-stroke engine supercharging system.

Thickness of a lubricant layer under a ring is defined, based on the hydrodynamic theory, and temperature distribution in the oil wedge is defined, providing the energy dissipation, which allows to calculate heat transfer coefficient and define the coefficient of the heat transfer from the ring to the liner.

Extension of effective range of centrifugal compressor characteristics for a transport engine

A method of a boundary layer control, tested at laboratory experiments is considered in channels of a guiding device in the centrifugal compressor wheel. It consists of connection of the accumulative volume to a flowing compressor part in the area of a visible flow separation.
