Experiment results are given, showing that decrease of boost pressure ratio to exhaust gas pressure of the D100 gas engine leads to non-stability of the engine operation. Premises are considered for using controlled charge air cooling for main propulsion multispeed diesel engines in order to increase heat recovery vapour production at part load.
