Effect of forced crankshaft bending vibrations on the engine vibration

The high speed diesel engine vibration is considered with in the frequence range 100 to 300 Hz, in some cases it is defined by forced crankshaft bending vibrations. The analytical technique is described to evaluate these vibrations effect on the engine vibration, and an example is given of its use on engines 6??5/18 and 6ChN21/21. It is shown that one way to eliminate this vibration is to change the shape of the normal force diagram acting crankpin and increasing the crankshaft stiffness.
