The heat exchange hydrodynamic model of the KS diesel engine is considered, conditions of heat transfer through sealing piston rings, heat exchange in the piston and liner fluid cooling system are described. It is shown that the classical boundary conditions taken as mixed identical conditions are quite sufficient for description of the heat exchange in the KS diesel engine.

Results of a long term experiment on ships are summarized, and evaluation of the full-flow fine oil filter effectiveness is given, using elements of type «Narva-6» in foreign diesel engines.
