Main theory and some annexes of the thermodynamic approximation in calculations for internal combustion engines

The reason is given for using the thermodynamic approximation when defining the mean charge temperature in the cylinder and the mean coefficient of the gas heat release to the cylinder walls, using coordinates T-V and a2-V. The finite equations are received for calculation of thermodynamic parameters, and their use for practical calculations is shown.

Effect of the combustion law form on the cycle indicator values

The calculation-theoretical analysis is used to establish an identical connection between the engine cycle indicator efficiency and parameter of the thermodynamical loss, that can be easily calculated, using t he heat release law diagram. The calculation technique of the heat release law and the engine indicator diagram when designing is being developed, which can be also used for comparative analysis of the combustion process of the engine of interest under different conditions.

The automobile supercharged diesel engine JM7. is taken as an example to consider the relative combustion chamber diameter on the engine charge movement in the chamber, and the thermal load distribution along the surface of the cylinder head fire bottom. The essential decrease of the heat stress is analyzed at increase of the combustion chamber diameter.

The approaching engineering method is described of definition of the limiting value of the dynamic coefficient for the axial loading efforts in the plunger drive of the engine fuel pump, and also results of the dynamic coefficient are given, calculation and experimental investigations show significant quality and quantity coincidence (the maximum difference is 6 to 8%) of dynamic calculation and experimental coefficient, in dependence on plunger diameter and fuel pressure in subplunger space.

Non-master machining of stators and rotors of rotor-piston engines

Geometrical calculations are shown, and also one of methods of non-master machining for stators and rotors RPD. A case of von-master machining is taken under consideration when stator RPD is marked by the two-leg out of centre epicycloid, and a triangular rotor is an internal envelope of the stator curve family at the planetary movement. Arrangement of mechanisms are shown, being the basis for milling machines to treat RPD stators and rotors by the cylindrical cutter.

Nature of destruction of the engine cylinder liners with water cooled surfaces

Laboratory sample tests are shown on cavitation-fatigue strength and full-scale investigations. Erosion distribution uneveness of the liner is explained by different oscillation amplitudes of its walls at top and bottom zones. Operation of hydraulic lock nozzles with additional self-teeding

Investigation results are given of some parameters of the injection of hydraulic lock nozzles with additional self-feeding on the motorless test bed for car-and tractor diesel engines. Infection parameters of these nozzles have been investigated with different above-needle chamber volumes and clearance between precision needle and body surfaces, the diffuser has from 4 to 19 mem. Recommendations are offered for further investigations.
