Calculation dependences are given to define instantaneous values of the exergetic internal circuit and its elements efficiency, considering their functional application. The critical analysis is given of proposals on the use of the gasoline hydrocarbon composition as a criterion for selection of the engine fuel. It is shown that the gasoline hydrocarbon composition variation is not to be considered as a measure to reduce the carbon monoxide in exhaust gas of carburetor engines. The engine can keep its power economical and toxically characteristics within all the permissible range of the fuel component composition, which is one of the engine construction advantages.
