The exhaust gas hit into the engine inlet port can be avoided, and the combustion chamber scavenging can be provided in a turbo- charged and with the power turbine 4-stroke engine. Experimental investigations show these possibilities and positive results of the gas exchange system operation in engines with forced scavenging. The improved efficiency of these engines by 5 to 7 % and decrease of the exhaust temperature under nominal conditions by 50 to 7U are shown.

Mathematical model of the gas flow in ejector systems at the engine exhaust

An internal bottom pressure of the steady state flow in the offered model is assumed as a minimum possible pressure in the ejector system chamber at given parameters of the active gas arrest and external conditions. Instantaneous pressure values are defined for the assumed linear dependence between the removed mass and the chamber pressure. The data are compared with the experiment.

Results of the engine ICh N26/34 operation on the thermo-treated fuel oil

Results are given of the thermal treatment î fuel oil 100V, showing the increased content of gasoline and kerosene fractions in it. Test results are analyzed of the engine lChN26/34 operated on the thermo-treated fuel oil, hereat the attention is drawn to the increased engine effectiveness, when operating under partial loads. It is noted that the medium speed diesel engine effective and reliable operation can be ensured, using the heavy fuel of 150 to 180 mm/s viscosity by means of the thermal treatment.

A model, based on energetic criteria, is described for Calculation of the engine vibration spectrum within the frequency limits up to 100 or 120 Hz, the vibration caused by both internal and external unbalances. Values are given of torque harmonics and internal bending moments, and .also unbalance and set of weights of the motion group on number of diesel engines. Actions on decrease of vibrations within the frequency limits up to 100 or 120 Hz are taken under consideration.

The analysis is carried ,out of oscillations for an assumed fuel delivery period in the delivery pipe of the engine fuel system. It is roved that there is no interruption of the continuous flow for he above period. The delivery valve makes the interruption of the continuous flow possible during its discharge. Formulas are given for calculation of the pressure and speed distribution along .the pipe, and for calculation of this process in different pipe sections.

Optimum characteristics of the motor oil by-pass cleaning as dispersion systems

Analytical dependences are given of the oil cleaning process as dispersion systems, using separators under continuous and periodical operation, considering parameters of the function of mass contamination particle distribution on their sizes, that allows to take optimum decision at selection of a separator and its operating conditions. A special laboratory centrifuge, developed by the authors, with sampling from the rotating rotor, following the predetermined programme to define functions of disperse phase particle distribution for any liquid disperse system on their sizes and parameters. Results are given of such a disperse analysis of operated motor oils on a number of marine engines.

Selection and investigation of characteristics of material, needed for the end face filling of tractor air cleaner filter-cartridges

Investigation results are given on selection of an adhesive to fill end faces of the air cleaner filter-cartridges. Polyethylene of a low thickness, mark 16802-070 on GOST 51308-72 is offered as a new filling compound. Technical requirements of adhesive compounds are described, and results are given of experimental work on evaluation of physical and mechanical parameters of a new adhesive under static and dynamic conditions, considering temperature, time and technology factors.
