// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1982. — ¹ 2. — P. 8–9.
Keywords: engines.

The experimental investigation of electro-chemical processes on the vibrating electrode (steel 38X2MUA) is shown and it proved that the corrosion at the cylinder liner cavitation damage can be taken as a result of the local corrosion element formation, caused by local mechanical deformations. Analysis of the crosshead bearing working capacity is given, considering tangential forces at the external friction
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1982. — ¹ 2. — P. 35–37.
Keywords: diesel engines.

Analysis is carried out of the friction conditions in crosshead bearings of low speed engines. It is shown that the transition is possible to the external friction in different moments of the operating cycle, here tangential forces on the sliding surface are going to increase. Empirical dependence is considered to define the moment of the external friction in the crosshead bearings. Readings of the bearing working capacity are analyzed under different operating engine conditions.
