Effect of transmission on the effectiveness of the tractor diesel engine SMD-14N

Theoretical and experimental investigations are described of factors defining the engine effectiveness, when operating under non-steady conditions, caused by a variable load on the crankshaft. Connection is established analytically between main engine parameters: the cycle delivery by inertia moment adjusted to the crankshaft and by dynamic characteristics of the torque, which are decisive for nature and fuel consumption in non-steady conditions. Frequency torque characteristics and hour fuel consumption are given of the engine SMD-14N for the tractor TDT-55, depending on the transmission gear ratio.

Technique of calculation of the oil transmission to the clearance of the oil scraping ring lock

A technique is given of calculation of the oil transmission through the clearance in the lock both for single and a pair of oil scraping rings, placed in one piston groove. It is shown that the dynamics of the oil transmission increase, when increasing the lock clearance, depends in great extent on the oil drainage from under the ring and space between rings. The clearance in the upper ring lock has a great effect on the oil transmission by the pair of oil scraping rings, placed in one piston groove. It is shown that at the coincidence of locks the oil transmission is going to increase essentially.

Viscous friction time TK is defined for the direct action governor in a closed tractor diesel engine SARS at idling and the governor disturbance, using the control lever. Increase of wear resistance of piston rings by spraying with molybdenum nitrite

A technique is given and also conditions, test results of piston rings, sprayed by molybdenum nitrite, using the vacuum plasma ion method instead of the porous chrome-plating. Dependences are defined of experimental parts wear in the cylinder-piston group, comparing with standard parts on speeded-up test time. It is proved that top compression rings, sprayed by the molybdenum nitrite, are worn out four times less than chrome-plated rings, and the molybdenum consumption is 150 times less than that at the flame spraying.
