A problem is solved of the interaction of various intensity blast waves, their bifurcation being of three configurations, the boundary conditions in the bifurcation are calculated by the method of an arbitrary breakage, using coefficients of local resistances, considering losses of the kinetic flow energy. Calculation results are compared with experimental data.

Comparative analysis is given of a thermodynamic cycle for three types of petrol engines: with the homogenous charge, delayed petrol injection and spark ignition and laminated charge and flame ignition, on their base the high effectiveness of the last operation process was found out. A method is offered of the temperature calculation of the friction ring pair elements, based on the determination of axis7symmetrical tasks of the non-stationary heat conduction for a piston ring and a cylinder liner, by the method of finite integral conversion and solution of equations for the stationary heat condition of the separating oil film. An example of the calculation of the friction pair element temperatures is given for different values of the oil film thickness and the thermal flow density.

A technique is given of a technical and economical reason to choose a pre-cleaner for the air filter with the board filter element, considering the ambient air pollution, particularly, for a truck diesel engine with the piston displacement of 10,85 l.

Problems are considered as to the selection of the blast registration in the fuel equipment, particularly, some sensor and its location. A test rig scheme is described for registration of injector nozzle needle forces and their measurement technique, requirements are shown of an exact operation description. An oscillogram is given of the injector nozzle needle shock at the fuel injection, under one of the fuel equipment operating conditions. Investigation results are analyzed of the shock load, depending on the nozzle needle stroke and operating conditions.

Features of the. heat supply are considered in tube engine heaters with the external heat supply, operating on the Stirling cycle. A technique is offered of how to adjust a non-stationary heat exchange between combustion products and the working medium to an equivalent stationary process.

Problems of the parallel operation and synchronization of a new energetic' installation are considered, the installation consisting of a diesel engine and an induction generator, principle diagrams of the diesel-electric installation parallel operation with induction generators and mains. The parallel operation of two and more installations with above generators at various crankshaft speeds can be provided, that leads to the economy of fuel and oil, to the installation reliability at the higher quality of energy.

Results of fatigue tests of carburized steels 12HNZA and 18H2N4MA are given, and also of the nitrided steel 25H5MA at the symmetrical cycle of the stretching-compression and at the stretching. Effect of the chemical-thermal treatment is defined on the endurance of above steels at their stretching-compression and cyclic stretching. It is shown that the carburation increases and nitriding decreases the endurance limit of strengthened steels at given loading conditions.

The calculation algorithm of the need of spare parts is offered, considering the strategy of repair and a car run since its initial start. Existing indications are analyzed for the marine engine crankshaft rejection. It is proved that the Crankshaft rejection is not always carried out in a correct way. Elimination of cracks is offered by turning crankpins or rejection of metal around the crack; and shaft with a crankpin diameter lower than it is permissible in specifications for repairing, but higher than admitted in the Register Regulations, can be used after have been grinding for new repairing dimensions.
