A problem is solved of the interaction of various intensity blast waves, their bifurcation being of three configurations, the boundary conditions in the bifurcation are calculated by the method of an arbitrary breakage, using coefficients of local resistances, considering losses of the kinetic flow energy. Method of calculation of the friction temperature of the engine ring pair with an oil film

A method is offered of the temperature calculation of the friction ring pair elements, based on the determination of axis7symmetrical tasks of the non-stationary heat conduction for a piston ring and a cylinder liner, by the method of finite integral conversion and solution of equations for the stationary heat condition of the separating oil film. An example of the calculation of the friction pair element temperatures is given for different values of the oil film thickness and the thermal flow density.

Registration of blast forces in the fuel equipment

Problems are considered as to the selection of the blast registration in the fuel equipment, particularly, some sensor and its location. A test rig scheme is described for registration of injector nozzle needle forces and their measurement technique, requirements are shown of an exact operation description. An oscillogram is given of the injector nozzle needle shock at the fuel injection, under one of the fuel equipment operating conditions. Investigation results are analyzed of the shock load, depending on the nozzle needle stroke and operating conditions.

Characteristics of endurance of some construction steels at their stretching-compression and at the stretching

Results of fatigue tests of carburized steels 12HNZA and 18H2N4MA are given, and also of the nitrided steel 25H5MA at the symmetrical cycle of the stretching-compression and at the stretching. Effect of the chemical-thermal treatment is defined on the endurance of above steels at their stretching-compression and cyclic stretching. It is shown that the carburation increases and nitriding decreases the endurance limit of strengthened steels at given loading conditions.
