Features of the diesel engine operation, when adding ethanol at the inlet

Results are considered of calculation and experimental investigations of a tractor diesel engine with the chamber in the piston, operating with the addition of the ethyl alcohol at the inlet. An analysis is given of cycle power-economical and dynamic parameters and also of exhaust gas toxicity, and results of calculation are compared with experimental data.

Some results of the Stirling engine 3.0/6.5 tests

A construction is described of an experimental one-cylinder Stirling engine of a displacement type, and power 1 kW. Its test results allow to define the quality and numerical interconnection between the output parameter, mean effective pressure, pressure ratio in a cycle from one hand and the crankshaft rotational frequency, fire wall temperature and working medium static pressure from the other hand. Results obtained are compared with data of foreign samples of DVPT.

Improvement of a system of the evaporating cooling of the charge air in diesel engines

Results are given of a theoretical analysis and experimental-and-calculating investigations of an evaporating air cooling system in diesel engines with gas-turbine supercharging. Recommendations are offered of how to improve effectiveness of the above system, using the overheated water injection into the air, and the use of a system of a high temperature diesel engine cooling jointly with the evaporating air cooling.

Results are given of analytical investigations of the effect of a value and nature of the temperature distribution non-uniformity of the heater heatexchange surface on indicator parameters of a DVPT cycle. It is shown that at design of recuperators at the first approximation a heat exchanger with the even distribution of temperature along pipes can be assumed as an optimum heater.
