A calculation method is described of instantaneous local coefficients of heat emission from the working medium to the cylinder wall and piston of an engine with the external heat siupply (DVPT). Calculation dependences are shown in a form of a criterion equation and are adequate to results of measurement, carried out by the method of a heat balance.

Measurement results are given on an engine on the level of gas-dynamic losses in discharge diffuser supercharger and turbine systems, providing the air and gas delivery to a disk-shape rotating re-generator of the transport GTD GAS-902, and also defining non-even gas consumption on the re-generator front and showing non-uniform air consumption by a re-generation degree caused by the installation of special guiding vanes in the exhaust diffuser supercharger system.

Results are given of an experimental investigation on a motorless installation, where a transparent model of a piston is located, showing hydro-mechanical features of the oil delivery to the piston from afosed nozzle. Effect of parameters of oil before the nozzle and of other factors on the oil consumption through the nozzle and the piston is considered.

Possibilities and advantages are considered of cleaning of diesel engine exhaust gas, using granular filters. The system function is investigated of an experimental installation under different filtration speeds and inlet gas smoke. A conclusion is given, based on obtained results, that a granular filter, having special granulars, allows to realize the effective (up to 90 %) and quite simple in operation exhaust gas cleaning of soot at the average resistance on a layer not higher than 3.5 to 4.0 kPa.

Analytical dependences and calculation results are given of a non-stability of a cyclic delivery on variation of the injection time. Recommendations are offered on how to decrease this non-stability. Experiment results are shown, which prove calculation values.

A structure circuit is given, and also its function and short technical characteristic of a numerical electronic instrument to measure the instantaneous fuel consumption in an automotive engine, using a flow sensor of a turbine type.

Results are given of the calculation and experimental investigation of a new method to inject fuel and of the high pressure fuel system constructions, related to marine diesel engines G74 (6ChRPN 36/45) and G95 (6ChRN46/40). A new construction differs from the normal one by the automatic variation of the start-and-end injection pressure, proportional to the engine load variation; increase of the average pressure and power of the fuel diffusion by 30 to 35 % at egual maximum injection pressures, essential decrease of the fuel portion, injected after delivery has stopped. Efficiency is improved by 2.5 to 4 % under all operating conditions, the minimum stable speed is decreased.

Test results are given of the diesel engine with an electro-hydraulic system of the automatic speed control and fuel injection parameters. The adaptive control makes the fuel consumption lower under load conditions, and invariable speed control is ensured.

Problems are considered of howtouse a recovery system' for marine diesel engines; results are shown of calculation of complex systems for the waste heat recovery on ships equipped with low speed diesel engines. An optimum recovery system is offered for diesel engines with high temperature cooling and a single heat carrier in the water cooling system, and also the gas heat recovery.

Diagrams are given of optimum parameters of vibroisolating pneumatic supports and results of their experimental investigation on a special test bed.

A hemiluminiscent method is considered for measurement of the NO concentration in different gas flows. It is shown that gas addition in an analysed sample (CO2, water steam, non-burned CH etc) can essentially efect the precise method of measurement of the NO concentration. A technique is offered to calculate correction factors and to consider the influence of accompanying gas on results of measurement of the NO concentration in automobile exhaust gas.

Experimental results are given on how to decrease the temperature of the cylinder head fire bottom of the diesel engine 6ChN21/21 by the lower thickness. The effect of the cooling liquid temperature on the fire bottom temperature variation is shown.

Faults are considered in an existing system of the material and technical provision of spare parts for marine diesel engines, including its insufficient organization and service. A new structure for material and technical provision of spare parts for marine diesel engines is offered, which would contribute to the improvement of the spare parts provision for Minmorflot, Minrechflot aind Minrybhoz enterprises. This structure provides increase of restored parts and units extent, set up of regional and consignment stocks of spare parts in the USSR, grounded selection of spare parts nomenclature, norms for their consumption and definition of spare parts and units demand.
