A technique i given and results of optimization of main structure parameters and operation on the criterion of a minimum cost of 1 kW and of developed energy, the computer was used for the purpose. Conclusion was made concerning the optimum parameters variation within the range of the effective output 70 to 300 kW for different diesel engine diagrams.

Development and investigation of a system for the automatic delivery of an additional air at the automotive supercharged diesel engine transient

Problems are considered, related to the development of the additional air delivery system at the automotive supercharged diesel engine transient, in order to reach the operation improvement under these conditions. Two versions of such a system are studied on the diesel engine SMD-62. It is shown that the system for the automatic delivery of the additional air improves technical and economical parameters of the engine with GTN at transients.

Thermal losses with exhaust gases in a diesel engine with a direct injection

Investigation results are considered of cylindrical combustion chambers with throats of different diameters on the diesel engine 8Ch12/12. At the most favourite conditions for mixing and heat release total thermal losses with exhaust gases are defined, and also their distribution on components, one of which can be defined by the heat release features only, in tested combustion chambers. The heat supply to gases can be realized at the early stage of the combustion process as the increase of its heat content, and can be defined mainly by the absorption of a portion of the heat flow, caused by radiation at the spray burning. Another features are considered of the variation of components of the heat specific losses with exhaust gases.
