Analysis of the balance of a 4-cylinder engine with a crank mechanism without connecting rod
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1984. — ¹ 7. — P. 16–18.
Key words:
engines.
A two-section engine with a mechanism without the connecting rod unlike the one-section engine is shown as an engine where moments of all inertia forces are balanced quite naturally. The problem is solved of how to balance centrifuge inertia forces of rotating masses by installing two rotating counter weights. It is shown that the balance of the inertia forces of the progressive mobile masses is possible at the use of a special balance mechanism in the engine kinematic circuit only. Then the cylinder flare angle will effect the level of high order components of inertia resulting forces of progressive mobile masses.

Analytical calculation technique is offered for a complex criterion-coefficient of the load dynamic effort at the inert load of a crank and connecting rod assembly of high speed 4-stroke diesel engines. This technique is experimentally confirmed when deformation of the connecting rod core of a high speed 4-stroke diesel engine 6ChN21/21 is registered. Conclusion is given of the necessary load dynamics consideration, when modern high speed diesel engines are boosted on the crankshaft speed.

One of physical parameters of the operating motor oil is considered-its density — regarding the other parameters variations, particularly, content of non-soluble products. An interconnection is defined between the density of the operating oil and degree of its contamination. An express-method of evaluation of the non-soluble product content in the oil is offered, based on this interconnection.

Antismoke additive IHP-706 is an effective medium to decrease the soot ejection at diesel engine tests

Test results are considered of diesel engines type ChN18/20 and ChN16/17, using fuel with additive IHP-706 during the engine running-in and delivery after have manufactured. Effective engine parameters, smoke variation of the exhaust gas, main engine parts working ability after predetermined operation time are analyzed. And also quality and quantity deposit analysis is carried out, deposits are formed at the additive IHP-706 burning in the engine combustion chamber. So we could define that actually all Ba, being a member of the additive composition, goes into reaction, forming quite harmless BaSO4. The use of the additive IHP-706 allows to decrease the soot ejection into the atmosphere around test beds without use of effective parameters and main engine components working ability.
