Definition of dynamic loads of main diesel engine bearings, using the method of finite elements

Algorithm is proposed to define a spectrum of dynamic loads, which the crankshaft transfers to main bearings. It is based on the method of finite elements, considering mutual influence of mass-elastic properties of both crankshaft and frame, load variation at the shaft revolution, and hydrodynamic conditions for bearing lubrication. This algorithm allows to clarify load values at design and calculation of main bearings.

Calculation method for a convective heat emission in a reciprocating internal combustion engine

Features are shown of a creation of the standard heat release model, based on the I. I. Vibe semi-empirical dependence.

Efficiency of shapes and sizes of connection channels of spark plug forchambers of a rotary-piston engine

Analysis was carried out of the effect of size and configuration of connecting channels of spark plugs for precombustion chambers of a rotary-piston engine on its effective parameters and exhaust gas toxicity. It is shown that the outlet of the upper spark plug forchamber in a shape of a rectangular groove does not affect parameters at full load, and leads to the intensive operation at idling and partial load, and to decrease of this spark plug thermal stress.
