// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1985. — ¹ 10. — P. 25–27.
Key words: diesel.

A calculation technique is described of an automobile engine vibration, the power output is controlled by the cylinder cut-off. Vibration levels of a 4-cylinder gasoline engine are defined, using three methods of cutting-off of cylinders. It is established that the low vibration (comparing with the vibration at all cylinders operating) can be attained when inlets of dead cylinders are communicated with the atmosphere.

Evaluation of operation of crankpin bearings of the experimental diesel engine 4Ch7.6/8
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1985. — ¹ 10. — P. 54–56.
Key words: engines.

Diesel engine tests are considered, which discovered the low operation capacity of crankpin bearings. In order to learn the cause a technique was developed of the experimental definition of heat release in bearings. Investigation results are shown, where the friction power in crankpin bearings is essentially higher than the power, developed under liquid friction conditions of the bearing operation, which shows the clear boundary friction. And the conclusion was made that the friction intensity is necessary to decrease to improve the bearing working capacity.

// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1985. — ¹ 10. — P. 60–62.
Key words: engines.

A clarified technique of M.A. Saltykov is considered on calculation of parameters of the crankshaft thin walled bearing shellfit. On the base of the statistic data summary and as a reference parameter a minimum necessary contact pressure is included of a predetermined tightness margin, on surfaces of the shell and bed conjugation. Thus an additional tightness portion is defined, providing the shell fit within optimum limits on density and level of coming stresses.
