Results of the analysis are given of the density variation of a heat flow in a function of the cylinder head radius in dependence on the load, and also experimental data are given of the radiation heat flow. The combustion process influence is shown on the convective heat exchange in the investigated diesel engine cylinder.

Results are considered of a calculation-experimental investigation on the definition oi the thermal condition of the 4-stroke transport diesel engine ChN26/26 piston at the different supercharging degree, and of the way to decrease the piston thermal stress. Regression dependences are given of the piston wall temperature on the heat release coefficient and average heat release gas temperature, and also on the mean effective pressure of the combustion air-fuel ratio, crankshaft speed and a relative piston radius.
