Effect of a surface boiling on the liquid flow speed and heat exchange after the diesel engine jacket

Results are given of the calculation evaluation of the water flow speed effect on the vapour bulb growing and condensation time. At the flow speed above 0.2 m/s the condensation time exceeds the bulb growing time, and the local speed of a water-vapour mixture will increase by 40 % and more, comparing with the flow core speed, and the increase of the local speed is quite significant within the range of the average flow speed from 0.25 to 0.55 m/s.

Bottom pressure of gas in exhaust RIC engine systems at operation under calculation and non-calculation conditions of a non-stationary flow

A calculation technique is given of a bottom pressure in separate zones of exhaust engine systems at subsonic and sonic speeds and non-calculation degree The minimum possible bottom pressure is supposed to correspond to the stationary flow conditions and is equal to the minimum pressure at the boundary spray at the adiabatic gas extension. Actual values of the bottom pressure at any time can be defined considering the non-stationary ejection coefficient varying in dependence on the stationary ejection coefficient up to zero.

Effect of a cooled oil mark on the engine oil cooler effectiveness

An oil mark influence on the diesel engine oil cooler effectiveness is shown. An approximation is given of thermal-physical characteristics of motor oils, used in the diesel engine industry. Relative values are defined of a heat removal and resistance (in relation to the heat removal and resistance at the oil MC-20 cooling), when cooling a number of motor oils.
