The authors discuss their mathematical model of in-cylinder heat exchange processes, based on actuating medium heat calculation. The model simulates processes during suction and compression strokes, as well as heat exchange through combustion chamber walls. This contributes into the analyses of engine fuel economy and mechanocaloric load on combustion chamber components vs. coolant temperature.

Perspectives of improvement of pumps of distribution type

Different diagrams are analysed, and pump parameters are compared of distribution type and traditional in-line multiplunger type. It is shown that the use of new technical decisions, developed in CNITA, is desirable for a new construction of a distribution type pump on its reliability and fuel delivery process, none the less of existing in-line pumps and, when comparing, they need less of metal, are of small size and have automation.

Control of a mixture composition in carburettor engines

Requirements are considered of the accuracy of the control signal mastering, using filling members of automatic systems to control the mixture composition in carburettor engines. Electromagnetic valve is described, developed in NPO TSNITA for mixture composition correctors. An analysis is given of the use of free oxygen sensors to build mixture composition stability systems on a level lower than the stechiometric one.

Hydrodynamic processes in diesel engine fuel systems at 2-phase fuel condition

Investigation results are given, showing that the 2-phase fuel condition is quite typical for most automotive diesel engine fuel systems; we should note that the gas phase at the most operating conditions is not diluted at the fuel injection. A short analysis is described of discharge characteristic variations, relating to two models of national carburettors of series production. Advantages of this method are considered, comparing with existing methods: increase of the accuracy of the part assembly and a possible automation. Improvement is analysed of a diffuser construction in order to decrease the effect of its clamping cone wear on the nozzle parameter stability. Examples are given of known technical solutions as well as their disadvantages. A diffuser construction is offered, different from the traditional one, having a clamping edge and the other function of the needle cone. Results are given of diffuser service tests, which prove their high effectiveness.
