Thermodynamic evaluation of systems for recovering of exhaust gases in the remote control system

A comparative evaluation is described of different methods of the thermodynamic analysis to give a reason for the system of the heat recovering. There is a possibility to define efficiency of the developed recovery system (binary and trinary cycles) and selection of a more effective recovery system. Problems are considered of the exhaust gas heat recovery use for marine diesel engines of a perspective development, taking into account tendencies to change technical, economical and energetic parameters. The progress and perspectives in the development of foreign marine diesel engines are shown, the use of the exhaust gas heat recovery and increase of their effectiveness.

Technique and algorithm of the engine crankshaft calculation

A technique and algorithm are considered for the statistic calculation of the engine crankshaft, taking into account the non-coaxiality and elastic pliability of its supports. In order to define a heavy loaded crank pin the crankshaft is replaced by a multispan continuous beam, its bending span rigidity is equivalent to the given bending crank rigidity. An analysis is given of calculation parameters of the engine 4Ch13/14 crankshaft.

Optimization of fuel equipment parameters for a truck diesel engine

Features of a technique and operation results are described, concerning the fuel supply to the truck high speed diesel engine. The analysis of diesel engine operating conditions shows its real operating conditions and possibility to define adjusting test conditions, and, finally, to realize to full extent, energetic, economic and ecological advantages of the engine. Such a method to make combine characteristics of the fuel supply can be used to define dependences fo fuel injection optimum phases on engine load and speed conditions, and also to evaluate the deviation of these phases at the engine design and operation because of limits, provided by its construction.

Optimization of the charge air cooler of a supercharged diesel engine

A method is described of the optimization of the charge air cooler (CAC) of a supercharged diesel engine on the air charge thickness. Calculation relations are at tained, defining the maximum thickness and the thermal effectiveness at given values of the boost pressure, charge air speed flow for selected CAC, relation of water equivalents of heat carrier consumptions in different CAC cycles, and also the cooling diagram. Results are given of optimization calculations and their analysis for two main CAC diagrams «air-air» and «water-air».
