Advantages in the supercharging of the diesel engines D-21 and D-21A, using the combined mixture forming

An effect is considered of the primary fuel (gasoline, gas condensate, methanol) and other factors of the combined mixture forming on the compression and cycle operation. The method to form the mixture is shown to be used for the diesel engine supercharging on its mean effective pressure. The supercharging degree depends on the primary fuel air excess coefficient and thermal stress of the diesel engine.

Formulas are given to calculate inertia forces, based on the analysis of the parts motion of a power mechanism without the connecting rod. The inertia forces of crank webs should not be excluded from any dynamic calculations. A dynamic model of crank webs and then of all mechanism is explained, being adequate to external and internal inertia force actions, developed by mechanism parts. Expressions are given for calculation of this model parameters.

Results are given of adjustment and tests of the fuel pump construction with the overload self-protection. The inclusion of an elastic element into the sealing joint power line is proved to be reasonable along the delivery valve and plunger liner body to decrease axial assembling efforts by 40 to 50 % and to ensure the pump overload self-protection by assembling efforts and to protect the engine against injection fuel pressures.

Theoretical and experimental explanations are given of the decrease of the exhaust gas toxicity in carburettor engines, when the mixture of ammonia with fuel is used as the engine fuel, comparing with the pure hydrocarbon fuel. It was defined that the CO composition in exhaust gases was decreased by 40 %, CmHn by 15.8% and NOx by 70.5%.
