An equation is given of a linear dimensional circuit, providing the precise piston position at the t.d.c., the equation of the circuit (sum) volumes, included into the formula of the compression ratio calculation, the method of a graphic presentation of the process of the error summary of the engine element manufacturing, the errors effecting the compression ratio. Equations are calculated by the Monte-Carlo method. This method shows in a geometrical form the process of the error summary on display screens of effective ASU TP.

Investigation results are given of hydraulic characteristics of diesel fuel filter elements and the functional dependence of the filter element operation time before their replacement on their effective surface. A method is described of the definition of the effective surface, different from the nominal filter element surface because of its deformation during the operation. A method is given of the optimization of filter element parameters on the maximum of this surface to increase the operation time.

Increase of the crankshaft wear resistance by plasma strengthening coatings

Results are given of comparative rig tests for the wear resistance of engine 4Ch 10.5/12 crankshafts of the series production by the plasma coating. The coating by the mixture of powders PN85Yu15 (60%) and PN55T45 (40%) was carried out on the series installation UP-30. For 130 hours of tests the wear resistance of crankpins with the plasma coating showed to be 2 to 2.5 times less than of the series production crankpins.
