A method is considered of speeded-up rig tests of diesel engine cylinder-piston group parts of abrasive wear, using the additive ALP-4D to the fuel. Advantages of this method are described, comparing with existing ones, based on the use of the quartz dust. Results are given of speeded-up rig tests of abrasive wear of the cylinder-piston group parts of a number of diesel engines, proving advantages of this method.
