A new model of combustion processes in engine cylinders when hydrogen and vapour are available

A mathematical model is described of combustion processes in the engine combustion chamber, based on equations Navier-Stocks in the approach of a boundary layer, considering two-dimensional structure of the fuel mixture, it is offered to define the effect of the hydrogen and vapour addition on the improvement of energetic and ecological parameters of a diesel engine under different operation conditions. Advantages of this model are shown, comparing with the one-dimensional model, based on full space equations of the elliptic type. The efficiency of the local similarity method is shown for the numerical solution of a new model.

Investigation of a dynamics of an in-line 5-cylinder diesel engine

Results are given of comparative rig tests of in-line five- and six-cylinder diesel engines 5ChN10.5/12 and 6ChN10.5/12. The diesel engine 5ChN10.5/12 is shown to have higher vibroactivity than the diesel engine 6ChN10.5/12 (they arc almost similar on the level of torsional vibrations), and the developed damper construction provides the lower level of crankshaft torsional vibrations of above diesel engines within the given operation range and permissible limits.
