Results are given of investigations of the aluminium piston alloy strength area at the electrospark alloying (EIL) of the surface by cupper. It is shown that at strengthening by EIL the wear resistance and strength of the aluminium alloys are improved and, perspectively, the technology of the electrospark strengthening to strengthen aluminium engine details.

Improvement of effectiveness of the block-diesel engine D100 overhaul at the factory

Results are given of the statistical wear analysis of bearing bands for cylinder liners of the diesel engine D100 blocks, going to the factory overhaul. It is established that the more than 30 % of bearing bands are worn out beyond the permissible limit. A technology for recovering worn out surfaces is offered, using the automatic coating in CO2.

Operation parameters of a high speed diesel engine are considered and analyzed at different methods of water supply into the combustion chamber. A conclusion is made of the prevailing effect of the chemical kinetic mechanisms on processes of self-ignition and burning of the emulsified fuel. It is shown that this effect can vary in dependence on the water-in fuel composition.
