An improved method is presented of the speed field cal culation in the turbomachine stage meridional plane. It provides a more rapid solution, comparing with traditional methods, and allows to make a partial optimization of the meridional profile, following the predetermined speed distribution on one of its boundaries. Main calculation relations are given, and also estimation of coordination of offered and traditional methods for solution.
