Results are given of operation tests of a fuel of the weighted fraction composition on characteristics of the crankcase oil and on starting characteristics of diesel engines 4Ch11/12.5 and 4Ch10.5/12. The weighted fuel is shown not to influence physical-chemical properties of the motor oil M-10G2, comparing with the series L-0.5-40, following GOST 305-82. The minimum starting temperature and time for the fuel use under conditions of North-West region of the USSR are given.

A method is offered to calculate the operation chamber volume of a rotor-piston engine of an epitrochoid type, which woul eliminate defects of the known method and consider features of the operation chamber formation. This method is orientated on its use for calculation on the computer, and its programme is based on the Fortran language.

Evaluation of the temperature error of the bench of constant pressure

It is shown that variation of the operation temperature conditions of a bench of constant pressure within the range of 30 to 70 °C does not affect (accuracy up to a percent portion) an effective path opening of the diesel engine nozzle spray. Hydraulic characteristics are recommended to define at the fuel temperature 30 to 35°C to allow to shorten time for the bench operation preparation, to decrease the laboratory space contamination, eliminate errors, caused by variation of the fuel physical properties because of evaporation of its light fractions.

Comparison of the energetic and initiation effectiveness of different forms of a spark discharge of the rotor-piston engine ignition system

Specific features are considered of requirements of the rotor-piston engine ignition system (RPD). Characteristics are compared of sign-variable and convertive discharges of a system with the energy accumulated capacity. Effect is analyzed of the discharge shape and its parameter optimization on RPD characteristics under idle conditions. Possibilities are shown of the engine operation improvement by the increase of the duration and current initiation discharge.
