Requerements aire described of steam pumps (TN) to meet to for recovery of the cooling heat of diesel-generators (DG), the more reasonable TN type and operating body are selected for it. Volumetric and energetic TN characteristics are given, attained experimentally, and calculated using the theory of similarity, recommendations are given on how to select dimensions of TN for DG, the main heat recovery arrangement of the diesel engine power stations with (he TN is described.

Factors defining heat release to the cooling heat in RIC engines

Heat exchange conditions are considered in the jacket space of the piston engine. Conclusion is made, based on the factor analysis, affecting the heat release to the cooling liquid, of the main effect of the deposit film on the cooling surface. It is noted that temperatures of engine cooled details at the most depend on thickness, heat conductivity, strength and long life of the deposit film.

Experimental investigation of a space piston movement within the clearance limits

Some results are given of an experimental investigation of the piston displacement at the same time in swinging planes of the connecting rod and piston pin, showing coordination of the shift amplitude and forces acting in these directions. Dependence is analyzed of piston des-placement parameters on the engine operating conditions. The piston circular sliding and the ring rotation are explained on the base of the complex space piston movement within the clearance limits.

Evaluation of effectiveness of the full-flow oil cleaner operation on a tractor diesel engine

Results are given of comparative rig tests of the full-flow oil centrifuge 2MTsN-4P and full-flow oil filter with BFE 2 FD-8004 on the tractor diesel engine 4Ch13/14 (A-41). The use of the full-flow oil filter with BFE on the tractor diesel engine is showing to lead to worse physical-chemical parameters of the motor oil and to the increased wear of the main engine details.

Use of multimode chambers of extension for exhaust noise dampers

A background is described of the theory of multimode chambers of extension. The experimental investigation of chambers in the acoustic interferometer shows the good coordination with calculation results. Acoustic features of the individual chamber construction are considered. The effect is analyzed of resonance exhaust pipe properties and its terminal impedance on the frequency dependence of the damping level of the multi-mode exhaust noise damper. A solution is given of the damper optimization task, concerning selection of the exhaust pipe length.

Comparative test results are given of the fuel of the heavy fraction (TUFS) and serial L-0.5-40 on the working capacity of the diesel engine fuel equipment and their powerful, economical and ecological parameters. TUFS is proved to be used under conditions of the North-West USSR region, and shows that the main element, limiting the reliable operation of the fuel equipment, using this kind of fuel, is the filter element of the fine cleaning filter.
