Exhaust gas heat recovery and RIC engine ecological parameters
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1989. — ¹ 11. — P. 6–8.
Key words: engines.

Effect is considered of the engine exhaust gas (EG) heat recovery on the variation of main flow thermodynamic parameters: pressure, temperature, density and speed. A positive value is defined of the external heat effect on the both decrease of the EG toxicity on the nitrogen oxide N0* and level of the exhaust sound pressure. A bond is shown of the- recovery process with effective engine operation characteristics: Residual gas coefficient, filling coefficient and effective power. Recommendations are given on the optimum location of recovery heat exchangers in engine exhaust systems.

New stochastic models for the process of leaning engine fuels and oils
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1989. — ¹ 11. — P. 18–25.
Key words: engines.

A process is identified of distribution of heterogenous polydisperse structures, typical for oil products used in fuel and lubrication engine systems. The process is based on the stochastic approach and calculation methods. The mathematical description is received using presentations and apparatus of random mark processes at the limited movement of real particles in the centrifugal field, considering their grouping destruction. Stochastic developed models can be used at the evaluation of the engine centrifugal cleaner effectiveness and creation of new engineering solutions on the intensification of fuels and oils separation from mechanical impurity, GSM water and other technical liquids.

Investigations of automobile engine accelerations require a new approach (reply to G.N. Zlotin)
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1989. — ¹ 11. — P. 57–58.
Key words: engines.

A critical analysis is given of the G.N. Zlotin's review "Again of the coefficient of the engine operation under non-steady state conditions" (Dvigatelestrojenie N 12, 1988, p. 55, 75). Unfounded objections are shown, expressed by G.N. Zlotin in his review of the paper by V.M. Archangelski, S.A. Prishvin, S.S. Epstein "Energetic parameters of carburettor engines at their accelerations under full power conditions" (Dvigatelestrojenie, N 4 1988, p. 9–11, 23). A new approach is roved to be used for investigation of accelerations. That means that one should not consider the engine parameters as time local, one should take into account the general engine parameter variation during all the transient process of the acceleration.
