Hydrodynamic oscillations in the oil layer of the high supercharged diesel engine connecting rod bearing
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1989. — ¹ 2. — P. 10–15.
Key words: engines.

An interconnection is considered of hydrodynamic oscillations in the connecting rod bearing oil layer and of the dynamic load of the crank and connecting rod assembly (KShM) at the fuel combustion. An example is shown on the high supercharged diesel engine 12ChN21/21, that the value Ka is going to decrease in the KShM from 1.2 to 1.18 in the connecting rod bearing oil layer due to dissipation of the oscillation energy.

Correlation between piston ring fatigue properties andwear resistance
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1989. — ¹ 2. — P. 12–14.
Key words: engines.

A process is considered of the piston ring fatigue wear. A theoretical investigation showed the difference between the external surface layer resistance to the fatigue process and this resistance of expander rings. The experiment result showed that the fatigue accumulation in piston rings, affected by the predetermined cyclic load, is two times higher of an average spread of the normal piston ring wear resistance (without the predetermined cyclic load). On results of experimental investigations one can establish the correlation between the fatigue limit and piston ring wear resistance of marine diesel engines 12Ch15/18 for three different technologies of their manufacturing.

// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1989. — ¹ 2. — P. 17–19.
Key words: engines.

A comparative evaluation is given of reliability of autonomic and combined sources of energy, purposed for the thermal-electrical supply of different objects (a combined source of energy consists of a diesel-generator and exhaust-heat boilers, operating under conditions of active and passive heat recovery of diesel engine exhaust gases). The increased reliability of the combined source of energy is proved to be effective due to additional provisional excessiveness of active and passive heat-recovery boilers.
