Engine with an internal cooling
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1989. — ¹ 5. — P. 6–9.
Key words: engines.

Optimization calculation on the computer shows that under low turbocharger (TK) supercharging and efficiency (KPD) a diesel engine with a normal parameter selection has the advantage and under high turbocharger KPD and supercharging parameter values of engines, with the internal cooling, provide lower fuel consumption. The criterion at the transit from one parametor selection to the other is the pressure ratio after the charger and before the turbine.

Technique and results of the mathematical optimization of the diesel locomotive engine operation
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1989. — ¹ 5. — P. 10–12.
Key words: engines.

A technique is described of the optimization of constructive and regulating parameters, providing the minimum average fuel consumption, based on the improved processes in engine cylinders. A problem is solved of the optimization, using regression models of engine characteristics, received on calculation experiment results. Calculation definition of cempression parameters under conditions of the cold engine start with the air heating
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1989. — ¹ 5. — P. 15–16.
Key words: engines.

A new technique is described of the compression parameter calculation for the diesel engine under start conditions with the air heating, taking into account air charge leakage and heat loss in the cylinder. Values of the heat release coefficient and compression parameters in the cylinder are given for a two-stroke diesel engine under conditions of the engine idling in the frequency range 200—1000 min-1. Calculation results are used to define the desired air heating at the diesel engine start under cold conditions.

An approached method to calculate local heat flows in the cylinder liner at the non-stationary two-dimensional temperature field
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1989. — ¹ 5. — P. 17–18.
Key words: engines.

Analytical dependences are offered to define local heat flows in the cylinder liner, receivd on the calculation of, the non-stationary two-dimensional task of the heat conduction at experimental axis-symmetrical boundary conditions of a first range, approximated by a rate polynom. Calculations showed the good convergence with experimental data and the possibility to use equations for the analysis of the heat transfer in RIC engines.
