Decrease of the supercharged diesel engine exhaust gas smoke under idling conditions

Results are given of an experimental investigation of the increased smoking diesel engine 4Ch21/21 under idling conditions. The main cause of the increased smoke is shown to be breakage of the fuel continuity in the high pressure pipeline, caused by the delivery valve fit.

Improvement of a TNVD suction valve of marine diesel engine 9DKRN80/160-4

Features are considered of TNVD suction valve construction of main marine low speed diesel engines, type 9DKRN80/160-4 on ships, type Mercur 2. Analysis of the main diesel engine operation shows the cause of the low safety conditions at sea because of impossibility to provide the maximum low speed of the ship less than 8.5 or 9 knots because of essential defect of TNVD construction: no tightness between the suction valve body and the plunger liner. New construction decisions are offered for TNVD suction valves to increase reliability and efficiency of main diesel engines, minimum stable speed of main diesel engines is going to decrease.

Improvement of diesel engine parameters, using turbulators in the combustion chamber, having a catalytic layer

Results are given of the diesel engine test, using turbulators in the piston made as the cylindrical groove in the combustion chamber side wall. It is established that blow-outs of hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxide together with exhaust gases are going to increase at the fuel consumption decrease. In order to decrease these blowouts a catalyser is used for the hydrocarbon dehydrogenation-molybdenum decilicide, coated on the piston by the method of the corpuscular alloying.

Впервые подробно излагаются проблемы, связанные с разработкой теоретических основ, практическим применением и разработкой поршневых колец, имеющих наиболее совершенные показатели по смазыванию и трению. Приводятся оригинальные данные наиболее значительных исследований смазочных режимов и трения колец комбайновых и тракторных двигателей. Даются соотношения, адекватно описывающие трибологию пары кольцо—цилиндр ДВС. Рассматриваются современные тенденции совершенствования колец за счет снижения потерь на трение и сохранения работоспособности несущего масляного слоя.
