Experimental investigation of operating factors effect on the working ability and effectiveness of marine engine turbocharges
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1991. — ¹ 5. — P. 7–10.
Key words:
engines.
Data are given of a experimental investigation of possibility to recover the working ability of marine engine turbo-chargers (TK). A method is offered, based on the experimental data, to evaluate numerically the effect of the rate and nature of the TK flow part failure on its reference characteristics as well as on engine operation parameters. Destroyed TK recovering under extreme sea conditions is shown possible without changing its characteristics, keeping marine engine technical and economical parameters on the desired level. The use of offered methods to recover TK allows to increase essentially effectiveness of the marine RIC engine operation.
