The results are given of the complex investigations (filming, pressure measuring in the combustion chamber, temperatures, flame radiation heat emission) of ignition and combustion of the atomized fuel jet in the diesel bomb in the range of initial temperatures of To=650—1100 ? of air charge. It is shown that while temperature To increases the speed of heat evolution decreases soot, formation and radiation heat emission intensify, combustion time increases, i. e. the burning of fuel-air mixture deteriorates.

Adaptation of speed governors of VRN-400 type
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1992. — ? 1–3. — P. 27—30.
Keywords:
diesel engines.
It is shown that hydrodynamic governors VRN-400 type with oil essentric by-passing in the system of isodrom feedback because of the lack of adjusting facilities have insufficient adaptation of different disel installations. It is proposed to provide adjusting facility for governing gear ratio of leverage from servomotor to driving washer of essentric valve. It will raise the adaptation of governors but also permit to realize recommendations recieved on optimization constructive parameters. Partial reduction of governor output shaft oscillations can be achieved by reconnection of direct feedback from auxiliary of power servomotor. The investigation was conducted on mathematical model, provided the detailed description of regular processes and registration of main non-linearities of diesel installation. The reliability of the model was tested experimentaly.

Investigations was made of probability method of the analysis of engine operation when it is impossible to measure its parameters. This method is based on usage of a prior statistical information of unmeasurable engine parameters. The method used permits to reduce the number of engine measurable parameters and to retain the quality analysis of its operation. Procedure can be used for the determination of possible causes of the loss of engine working capacity in those cases when it is impossible to measure its parameters.

The investigations was conducted of antifrictional efficiency of complex molibdenium combination in motor oils. It was shown that economical effects of antifrictional additives in the engine is determined by their own efficiency, its concentration and also by engine energy parameters and the cost of additives and fuel used. The formula was proposed of economical effect prediction taking into account all above mentioned factors and which permits to calculate optimum concentrations of antifrictional additions used during particular engine operation.
