Here is proposed the quantitative and quantitative changes of level of emission depending on efficiency, and also estimation of the level of global and local air pollution. The strategy of restriction of exhaust emissions of engines in 90-s is being directed to raise the quality of atmosphere air at site. To achieve the limits of 1994 is impossible without external systems of reduction the toxicity. The perspective trends in development of low-emission engines are as follows: creation of working processes with poor mixture pressure charging; usage of alternative fuels including water-fuel emulsion and natural gas,
creation of effective gas purification systems which can be used at transport.
