// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 1995. ? 182. — P. 78-80.
Keywords: diesel engines.

A classification is offered of engines with variable compression ratio and actual volume. Specific tasks are formed at the stage of design of such engines within the limits of non-traditional constructiv diagram, particularly of drum type engines. An algorithm is described of definition of current values of the compression ratio and actual volume (the piston stroke) and correction of the crankshaft angle of rotation. Numerical investigations are carried out of dependence of the engine compression ratio and piston stroke on a number of its constructive parameters. Compression ratio and piston stroke are established to be controlled quite accurate and don't lead to the more complex technology of the engine assembly.
