Quantitative comparison is given of the parameters of working process of optimized diesels with turbocompound systems (TCC) and without them. Having the similar gas distribution and pressure charging diesel without TCC at the rated power regime by means of using piston rod laying provides better parameters of air consumption quality of cylinder purification, indicator efficiency. Its working process is defined by lower intensity of gas hardover into reciever which provides exploitation reliability.

Results are proposed of estimation of fatigue strength of connecting rods by methods of linear mechanics of destruction side by side with results of experimental investigations of increasing the fatigue strength of connecting rod mechanizm details. 20-years experience in this field is taken into consideration.

Fretting-corrosion is considered of lateral covers of crankshaft bearings of engine ChN21/21. Lamellar polimeris coverings basing on elementtrganic highmolecular compounds of Faleox type and silicon-molibdenium compounds for protection from fretting- corrosion are proposed. Laboratory test results on friction machine SMC-2 are proposed. It was indicated that polimeric coverings reduce fretting-wear for more than 4 times.

These processes are being described by system of onedimensional equations of diffusion and laminar filtration. By solving the equations the soot concentration distribution can be defined. Some examples were proposed.

Description is given of reciprocating˜compressor engine made according to USA patent ˜ 44766821. The main feature by which it differs from ICE is effective tractive and dynamic characteristic. Thermodynamic calculations of reciprocating-compressor engine was elaborated; its characteristics and optimum constructive parameters were defined. Its fuel efficiency is 1,5˜2 times higher than of ICE.
