Relationships are proposed for calculation of mass of crankshaft counterweight of V-8 type engine during their manufacturing. To equip these engines with pistons and connecting rods of higher mass is not possible in the conditions of mass production. The increase of mass of these details is compensated by proportional decreasing of mass of mud collector plugs in crank pins.
