Simulation of Carburetion and Combustion Processes in Direct- Injection Engine

Mathematical models have been developed to describe generation of air/gasoline mixture and its combustion in flame front based on chemical kinetics principles. Simulation yielded thermal flux function, combustion velocity, flame front output temperature and mix composition for various flame front areas, taking account of mix non-uniformity.
