Requirements to Vehicle Engine Prestart Processing Systems
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 2009. — Ή 4. — P. 15–19.
Keywords: engine prestart heating, phase transition heat accumulators.

The article discusses possible methods and means of vehicle engine prestart heating, which assure engine start at negative ambient temperature with no support from external energy sources. Prestart heating systems featuring phase transition heat accumulators (PTHA) are considered in detail. PTHA are shown as contributing into better engine operation performance.

Fuel Pressure Pulse Downstream of High Pressure Feed Pump of BMZ 6S50MC-C (MAN B & W) Low-Speed Marine Engine as a Diagnostic Means
// Dvigatelestroyeniye. — 2009. — Ή 4. — P. 20–23.
Keywords: low-speed marine engine, fuel injection equipment.

The research work in question included testing of fuel injection equipment of type 6S50MC-C low-speed marine engine manufactured by BMZ under MAN Diesel A/S license, using various loading schedules. A method has been developed to derive a «reference pressure pulse» downstream of high pressure feed pump, to be used in fuel equipment diagnostic algorithms.
