Technological provision of the heavy loaded engine gears operation without failure

Main types and reasons of the operation failure are analyzed of heavy loaded case-hardened, tempered diesel engine gears. Investigation results showed that up to 78 % of the gears are failed because of technology: defects of chemical-thermal and thermal treatment, increased clearances and roasting at the gear grinding. Improvement of the manufacturing quality is considered during various operations of the technological process, taking into account the technological inheritance.
