Decrease of the thermal stress of diesel engine injector spray nozzle by using special coatings

Investigation results are given of methods to decrease the thermal stress of a valve multinozzle injector spray tip, the injector is quite advantageous for high speed diesel engines. Numerical characteristics are described on the injector temperature condition, when heat flows are re-distributed by using heat-insulating and heat-conducting coatings, received by the method of finite elements.

Some results of optimization of operating parameters of transport turbo-piston high supercharged engines

Dependences are given to select optimum combination of main operating parameters for a high speed 4-stroke (turbo-piston) engine at different stages of supercharging on its mean effective pressure and different limiting parameters: maximum pressure and exhaust gas temperature before turbine. Recommendations are given on how to come to the compromised solution of an optimization task to select operating parameters for turbo-piston engine at the stage of its lay-out design, considering the improvement of the engine operating parameters.

A method is given for a forming and design of rotors and stators for rotor-piston engines, and also equations, describing rotors and stators. Recommendations are given on reference parameter selection. A case of treatment is considered, when a rotor of a rotor-piston engine (RPE) is outlined by a three-branch eccentric epicycloid and its equidistant, and a stator is an external line, surrounding a number of rotor curve positions at the planetary motion. Methods are given of RPE rotor and stator treatment by an instrument of the cylindrical shape and profile ram.

Measurement of local fuel consumptions in the diesel engine injector spray

An improved method of measurement of local fuel consumption in a spray is described, based on the use of a specially developed complex device, consisting of kinetic sampler and a whirl separator. This device, used in experiments, provides a reasonable selection of the intensive sample suction out of the spray and a high quality separation of the air-fuel mixture. Measurement results are given of the local fuel consumption in the stationary injector spray.
